Media: video, narration and audio
Find the Media workspace and move between video, voice, music, effects, cues and mixing.
Open Media for the right slide#
Open a saved presentation and choose Media in the project toolbar. The workspace brings together Video, Narration and Audio. Its heading identifies the slide and, when relevant, the selected object that the tools will act on.
- Select the slide you want to work on. Select an individual object if you intend to replace or refine that object.
- Choose Media, then select a task tab.
- Check the destination or placement fields before saving a brief or inserting a result.
Only applicable tasks appear. Under Audio, Mix appears when the selected page contains audio or has a retained mix change. A missing Mix tab can simply mean that this page has no audio to mix.
Upload a clip or prepare a video brief#
In Video, Video & audio files accepts MP4, WAV and MP3 files. Choose your file, select Upload file, then use Insert on the named slide after the original is verified. Upload and insertion are separate steps.
The same task also contains the Clip brief. Set the intended content, Placement, Insert target, Duration, Aspect ratio and Resolution offered by the selected video model. Add style, camera direction and brand constraints that will help the result fit the presentation.
Save the brief and review the quote before requesting generation. Available models and settings depend on the project or workspace provider configuration. Inspect the resulting clip before attaching it. For image files, use the editor’s Image tools instead; see Add, replace and crop images.
Develop an exact narration script#
- Choose Narration to open Voice and narration.
- Enter the exact words in Author text. Select the Speech model, Eligible voice, language, Audio format and Timing offered for that voice.
- Check the Slide and Audio placement. Choose Save script.
- Choose Review quote, review the displayed terms and voice authorization, then choose Generate narration when available.
- Audition the ready take. Use the offered attachment action to place it in the presentation.
An audio take can be ready for audition before it is attached. Caption review applies to the saved attached take; follow the attachment guidance if Studio asks you to attach it first.
Choose the right Audio tool#
| Tool | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Music | Create a soundtrack from a saved text prompt or composition plan. Set mood, style, vocal intent and destination, then audition takes before choosing one. |
| Sound effects | Create and audition a described effect, with supported duration, loop and context settings. |
| Sound cues | Decide when an existing sound plays, its gain, replay and overlap behavior, and the visual alternative. |
| Mix | Arrange the page’s narration, music and effects against one shared timeline while retaining the original stems. |
Sound cues play in preview, not while editing. Use Audition cue to check a cue deliberately. For a mix, declare the delivery profile, choose Prepare mix draft and save with Save audio mix. Rendering is a separate action offered after Check render capability; a saved mix does not automatically mean a reviewed render exists.
Keep drafts and saved results distinct#
Changing tabs or choosing Close does not save, cancel or discard a media draft. Opened tools retain their working state so you can return to them. A Needs review badge points to work with an unconfirmed or stored save.
Follow the tool’s save and status controls before starting another edit or build. For an uncertain upload, use Check upload or Check placement. For a retained cue or mix save, check or reconcile that same operation rather than starting a duplicate.
After attaching media and saving, play the presentation preview. Check timing, volume, controls and text alternatives. Playback settings and media alternatives explain those finishing steps.
