Add, edit and format text
Work directly on the slide and save the text you intend to keep.

Place a new text object#
- Open the project in Edit and select the slide.
- Choose Text in the toolbar to begin text placement, or use Add text in Properties.
- Place the object on the canvas and enter your content.
- Use the save control for the active text edit and wait for confirmation.
Complete or cancel an active layout edit before switching into text editing on the same object.
Format text and selected words#
Select the text object to expose its formatting controls. Set font size, text color and alignment in the active toolbar or Properties. The inspector also offers Line spacing for supported text.
For local emphasis, select the intended words and use the available word formatting controls. Clear word styles removes local word styling. Check the actual selected words before applying a color or emphasis.
Adjust its position separately#
Choose Layout to move or resize the object, or use Position & size when offered. A wider frame can resolve an unwanted line break without changing the wording. Review the object at a readable zoom after changing its font or frame.
Use Snap to align a dragged object with slide edges, centers and neighboring objects. Save the layout change when ready.
Check the result#
Read the full text after saving. Check symbols, superscripts where used, line breaks and any emphasized words. Reopen the slide to verify persistence.
Some code-managed objects do not expose direct text controls. Use Builder to propose a supported change instead of assuming every visible label is editable.
