Add and review reference files
Upload material, check processing, and choose evidence for a request.
Prepare your material#
Reference intake supports images, PDF, Word, PowerPoint and spreadsheets through the file chooser. The current creation chooser accepts PDF, DOCX, PPTX, CSV, XLSX, JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP. SVG is rejected by this intake.
Use readable files with clear titles and units. A reference document provides material to inspect; it does not automatically become a set of matching presentation layouts.
Attach files to a project#
- Sign in and confirm your workspace.
- On Create, choose AI and then Attach files, or use Attachments inside the project conversation.
- Select the files and inspect the selected-file list. Remove any accidental selection before proceeding.
- Follow the upload and processing status in the project. A file selected in the browser has not necessarily finished uploading.
- Open Saved attachment processing and choose Refresh attachment status if you need an updated result.
Choose what the next request may use#
In Attachment evidence selection, inspect the extracted content and select Use as evidence for the excerpts you want to include. Partial processing results require review before they can be selected.
For a partial result, use Choose excerpt to review and complete the review shown by Studio. Check tables for units, headings and row associations. Check extracted image descriptions against the original image.
Handle failed or incomplete processing#
Read the specific file status before retrying. A partially processed attachment can still contain useful material, but it should not be treated as a complete extraction. Use the existing status or retry controls for that attachment rather than uploading repeated copies.
To remove unwanted material, use Remove attachment when available. A source excerpt already used in saved work still deserves a review of that work; removing an attachment is not a factual correction to existing slides.
